Haven't been on this cleanse a single day and already acting crazy... Had my lax tea last night (black forest) and got up at 4AM to do SWF 8O Urggh! Not sure whether i was suppose to do it day 1, but it's mental anyway; a clean break: now food from now on! Am surprised - never ever really manage to get up this early, not even for gym! Salt water was...well, u all know: strangely warm and pleasant at first, then got worse until i felt like gagging - finished it altho not all in 1 go! Now the waiting - all advice said not to leave home for at least 2h. So hopefully something happens and soon! cause i need to shower & get ready for work @ 6.
Prepared today's batch of lemonade last night also - used the kenwood to juice the lemons & wouldn't want to wake the neighbourhood doing that at 4AM! Going to add the cayenne before i go to work, will have my 1st serving there.
Ok so when is the SWF coming thru? :o ops: it's been half an hour already??

Relax FatCat, sometimes it won't work until day 3 or 4 - depends on your previous diet.

Obviously you haven't read Mike's book - its not good to make the lemonade the night before. It needs to be made fresh in the morning. It will not be as effective if you leave it too long as the enzymes start to die after 10-12 hours.

Good luck and take it easy - this is supposed to be a rest for your body. I would recommend you to read Mike's book because it makes it all easy and you understand everything better.

thanks karen_c, i was just getting a bit worried cause i haven't had a BM yet and my hubby also said to relax, i'm being too hasty. i just get demotivated very easily and quickly if something doesn't work as it's supposed to - the SWF nearly had me trhow up so i thought my body would expel it ASAP!

yeah i know i'm not suppose to make the lemonade the night before, but squeezing the lemons in the morning is going to wake the neighbours as i use my kenwood and it sounds like a chainsaw. squeezing by hand just takes longer and gets u less juice. still, i'll try doing it just before leaving for work tomorrow, as i always have my breakfast (ie 1st lemonade of the day) at the office.

guess i'm just anxious to get rid of all the bad stuff and sinus etc etc and see my body heal asap! i'll try and hang in there...

Squeezing by hand is fine - its not much more than half a lemon per glass (well depending on the lemon!) I think the key thing is to just chill. Your body will work at its own pace.Remember that all the bad stuff got there over a long time, bit by bit, and its not realistic to expect things to change overnight. Take your time, enjoy the time you take making juice and remember how much time you spend making food! A hand juicer is also pretty portable so you don't have to make all the lemonade at once. The taste of fresh lemonade something you will appreciate later on in the Cleanse when there aren't very many.

And like I said - I recommend to EVERYBODY to read Mike's book BEFORE you start!! Its really so enligtening, useful, encouraging and inspiring I don't understand why anyone wouldn't!! Seriously.

hmm, karen_c, i must admit that i haven't read mike's book - actually decided to do the MC at very short notice: read the original book on sunday (in 1 sitting), more googling on monday & then started the prep for the MC on tuesday (yesterday!). as i only found this website on monday, there wouldn't have been enough time to order the book before i start; i'd only get it once finished if i order now!

ok i get the point about being fresh tho (and knew about it beforehand as well) - it's just i thought i could make the MC fit into my already far too hectic lifestyle instead of the other way around by preparing ahead (usually and very often we revert to take-away pizza or go out for dinner); also i tend to let a good thing go if i feel under pressure. BUT - heard u on that one so bought a cute pink hand juicer today which will travel to work tomorrow!!
