I am currently on day three of the post cleanse program.
I am feeling good. I did the MC mostly out of curiosity. I did not need to reduce my weight. I am just less than 2m tall and weighed 72kg's before doing the MC. One week later I was on 70kg's and have not weighed myself since. My belt is tightening to the next whole down.

Physically I was amazed at how I could survive, fairly comfortably, on the juice. Most of my struggles where psychological. e.g. Oh my what have you done, wonder if I am doing damage to my body?

So long as my mind was not being negative, I was fine. Enjoyed the reduction of my life to such a simple level, Gave me a pause in which to "wipe the slate clean" and think about how I would like to move forward on the eating side and mentally.

Physically my skin seemed to clear and my nasal passages definitely cleared, however more than that, I believe my whole system of glands also seem much healthier and cleaned out.

    Tips:
Read the book from cover to cover before beginning, maybe even write down important information. On my third day I realised I was only using one teaspoon of salt in my SWF, suspect I had done the same thing the day before. Then when I realised went into a tailspin about how I had now damaged my system, as it would have absorbed all this salt. Panic as to how to rectify the situation.

Don't take probiotics just before bed time, suspect them of the belly ache I felt.

Looking forward to hopefully staying on a healthy course, and using the benefits to my taste buds, sense of scent and mind, to make informed choices about what I want to eat.

  2. Hey Max

Glad to hear you've seen the light at the end of the tunnel :)

Apart from the physical changes, how are you feeling mentally. Clarity of thought, etc.

    Keep us posted :)

    Hi all, here's an update.

I finished my cleanse a month ago & thought it would be good to share this with the other lemonheads on the forum.

I am still fully into the raw food concept although in practice still cooking some food, but that's OK by me and my body, it seems.

I still go through my struggles which for me are mainly in my head. Like last weekend I had serious anxiety problems which translate into an almost compulsive desire for food. Luckily, I had pretty much only, healthy foods around the house so that while I am sure the quantities I was consuming were not good for me, at least It was healthy stuff I was abusing myself with.

Fortunately that has passed and I am getting back into my routine.

I wanted to share was the following.
I was on a tea break at work with my delicious apple, no more drinking tea or coffee for me on my breaks much prefer the fruit I bring with me. There was a birthday celebration happening in the kitchen with a rich chocolate cake as the treat. I was offered some and accepted in a non committed kind of way. I was pretty sure that I was not going to want to eat a whole slice, however a taste was tempting.
I took two teaspoon full’s and hey, that was more than enough for me, it did not come close to the experience I had got from my apple.

I bought a raw foods cook book from which I have been making a couple of soups, with mild cooking and besides that I am eating plenty of salads and fruits and some veggie juicing. I am still eating some bread it is rye and eggs.

Feeling good and looking forward to shopping for more tasty healthy foods, which I can enjoy with a minimal amount of cooking!
