    Hi everyone

I am new to this forum as well as the MC. tell me, how do I know what grade syrup I'm buying?

I saw in pick n pay that illovo and also Lyles do a maple syrup. Is it ok to use these? I hope so because I can't find it anywhere else.

hi flabby.I had the same problem, I couldn't find anywhere that sold it here in SA, and found out that the only reliable place to get the syrup was from this website's shop. I think you just need to drop them an email & they can organise it for you.

    hope this helps...bryan

  3. Hi flabby, welcome to the forum :)

The syrups you saw in pick n pay are NOT grade B maple syrup or even 'real' maple syrup for that matter. They are simply golden syrup with maple "flavouring' added. So, to answer your question, NO! It would be a total waste of your time using these syrups as they do not contain anywhere near as many nutrients that Grade B Organic Maple syrup does. Keep in mind that because you are fasting, it is really important to keep your body's energy levels up, and the only way to do that is by having the right amounts of nutrients going in.

If you would like to get hold of some "real" Grade B Organic Maple Syrup, go to the Shop on this site & choose what you'd like to purchase. They can also arrange delivery to you if that is required.

Good luck with your cleanse, and please keep coming back to let us know how you're doing. I'm sure that the other MC'ers on this forum would be interested to hear about your progress. Good luck! :)

You are supposed to use the grade B syrup because it has more minerals than the grade A. If you only used grade A you would be slowly losing out on some essential minerals.

I was unable to find the grade B in the stores I went to so I googled it and found: http://www.maplesyrup.co.za

At the moment its best to buy it here or from the maple syrup site you linked to. We will be offering it to stores soon and will post a list of stores that stock it on the site or here in the forum. We've just been really busy setting all this up and getting the whole place rolling! What started out as a few parcels of syrup to help friends get to do the MC has really turned into something a whole lot bigger and the demand is way more than we thought it might be, so I guess the benefits of the MC are quite contagious :)

It's hard to pick healthy products at a place like pick n pay since there is no one there who actually knows about the nutritional values. Have a look at freshearth.co.za you can actually ask questions.
